I worked closely with Camping in the Forest as a creative lead to help establish the design styling and tone for the brand for over two years as an external creative. This was after the organisation had been split from it's original Forest Holidays Camping name. I was supplied the new logo and two existing colours and was given the task to establish the rest myself as a brand lead I guess. I hand picked older assets and imagery to sit with new photography and styling working with the Marketing Manager on a daily basis (remotely) to create the correct visual and tone for what the organisation and it's locations were about and had on offer.
This project was the end vision of the two year lead up and featured many key parts and messages developed slowly in that time. At 40 pages the brochure says much about the organisation and their beautiful camp sites set in Forestry Commission land. Creating it was a true labor of love as was some of the other nature scenes – most of which you'd never be able to capture. It was very detailed to include the beauty of Mother Nature, something I'd tried hard to establish through visual, copy and messaging on many of the forerunning projects.
I wanted to celebrate nature which is a key inspiration. Capturing the simple pleasures life can hold in the fresh air of the great outdoors with the people you love or with solitude. Mixing photography, typography, design and creative to visualise the final pieces worked well for the ever growing audience and at the end of the 2 years we had rather a different proposition that many were proud of.
